DRAGON SLAYER

I TOOK THIS SHOT OF THE European Bee-eater with the Dragonfly in its beak leaving the perch during my visit to their nesting area. I spent 21 days, some 70 hrs in a mobile hide so as to not disturb the birds.

Chimney of Light

At night the Richtersveld sky transform into a jewel box of twinkling stars with the bright Milky Way shining like a chimney of light across the sky. Shooting stars fall out of the sky and streak on the horizon in absolute silence. The balanced and suspended Milky Way slowly move across the sky with the promise to once again shine tomorrow night.
